Just in case you don't know - here's the procedure from the Official website:
Update to 2.3 - F.A.Q P r e m i s e The software update from version 2.2 to version 2.3 is not mandatory but it is simply a security update. If you want to update your Diablo Cam to version 2.3 you can do it at anytime. Security update can be done using the updating software available on the web site. Please use always the latest version available for download and remove the previous version from your windows. 1. How can I update my DiabloCam? Needed Software: You can do it using the upgrading software downloadable from www.diablocam.com Follow the step by step the software instructions until the end of updating procedure. This page and the software may change real time so please make sure you always download the latest version on software from the official web site. Needed Hardware: Cas Interface 2 Cas Interface 2 +Plus Cas Interface 3 Cas Interface 3 +Plus No Twin Base is allowed. Price: The price for the update is 30 Euro Method of payment : Credit Card only such as Visa or Mastercard. We are sorry, No PayPal accepted at present.

Sofar there is only one advantage: - being able to decode Conax channels.
Which makes me wonder why is it not possible to do this with the older version (ie 2.2). It should be possible, unless this is a marketing trick: you want Conax, well, pay 30€ (25£) more, then Premiere or nordic channels will switch off, pay another 30€ for the new feature and so on .
