Default Parental Lock Problem

Hi All

I am the newest of the newbies so I will try to not be a grade one eejit!

Having said all that, I have a question for all the clever guys about how I could get round the problem of a Eurovox MaxV box with a parental code lockout.

The problem is that my good lady wife wanted to add a parental lock to certain channels to prevent little eyes viewing what they shouldn't. The big problem is that she changed the code from the original (0000) and confirmed the new code but now the box asks for the parental code all the time for all channels and all menu options. When we try to put in the new code says the code is incorrect. Have tried old code and new code and any number of other codes but get nowhere.

Have tried flashing the box to see if that would reset the codes but it didn't help.

Any help would be very gratefully received. Thanks

A quick search of the forum does help.

I know absolutely f' all about cable boxes, but the search I posted found possible answers in seconds.
