Hi all,
I recently cancelled sky.. couldnt put up with there price increases anymore and was just about to buy a freview receiver when a mate told me about eurovox amongst other fta receivers. My question is that i used to have Virgin broadband which I cancelled a around a year ago. If I was to connect one of these boxes would it work as I dont have an active subbsciption. Sorry to ask such a basic question but as you can tell im a newb Thanks again |

Ive found a F to coax adapter on screwfix for a couple of quid. Do i just connect the cables and the use the adapter to plug directly into the arial socket on the TV and see if I get a picture?
Thanks again for your help |

You can get them in Maplins also. And yes thats correct if you get channels other than purely FTA then its live, but I would recommend taking out the basic pack. That ensures you have a live connection and more to the point it will remain live.

its best to get a subscription with them because if you dont and you have a dodgy box then virgil/nt*hell can check who is using there service in there area and if you are not with them and using the cable for free then they can send a signal and scramble the box which is 100 squid down the drain. get the cheapest package then get a box to get all the channels and that way you wont get any problems. i know someone who works there and this is the best way to do it. apparently they can tell if you have a signal but not which channels you are getting.
