Default Eurovox 5000 pvr

My friend is having the following problem

The box is installed fine has all the channels as i put a CDF file on it

It records no problem, but when you go back to play the recording its only logged as 4 seconds.

Also it doesnt allow you to pause or rewind live tv.

Is this a HD fault

I have the HD in my box and many other people do too?

Any suggestions

thanks

It will give that fault if the drive isn't firmly inserted.
