Default Which Satellite Do I Select?? Just Want Standard Channels

Hi,

I have a Technomate TM-1600 2CI, can you please tell me what satellite I need to tune into to select the FTA channels? I am connected to 28.2E Astra2/Eurobird but although it brings up most of the FTA Channels I cannot see ITV3 Or ITV4 (amongst others that I would like)

Also As there is no slot for a sky card for the FTV channels on the TM-1600 2CI it has 2 kind of PCMCIA slots can anyone tell me what I have to buy to make this box receive FTV Channels please?

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Are you actually getting any of the English FTA channels? like BBC1 ITV etc.

If so then you need to make sure you have the correct transponders for ITV3 etc in , and perform a scan. The transponder details are on lyngsat.com

Although it is possible to get a CAM so the the box will work with a Sky card, it would not be worth the cost. Also you still need a Sky dodgy box to keep the card alive periodically.

The CAM that have been reported working with the Sky card are the Diablo, the Dragon/Trex and presumably the Jolly CAM.

A diablo + programmer is about £100, the Trex probably a bit cheaper.

Much cheaper to buy a new receiver like the TM3300 which is reported to read the Sky card after patching.
