i use an L shape bracket, with a moteck and a 1m orbital, never had a problem, its galvernised steel.

With a 1m dish it may not stand up to many high wind conditions but then again it all depends on where you have mounted the dish.

i live in the sticks, and get serious wind (weather) and park the dish side on at these times, seriously, its been there sometime now, its had a 90cm fortec on it, a 1.1 triax and now the orbit, its mounted chest height, i wouldnt use one high up, but i hate the look of t&k's.

the L shaped bracket would be good if it had some supports on it for the pole like the old channel master wall mount had which i wish was still made.

but they are made too cheap these days and not considered the weight of dish on it etc

Chest height!, yes I think I would probably chance it low down too, and if it wasn't vertical smack it one with a big hammer.

What they need to design is an L type welded onto another L type upside down, this would form a strong fixing
