put your remote for eurovox 2 to your camera on your phone phone and see if the infrared light shows up if not change the batteries on your remote it could be just the batteries ( this is usally a sign by a weak red light coming from your eurovox remote).
you cant do a factory reset without the remote you will need the remote, but if you get a eurovox 2 remote 1) go to menu 2) go across to config 3) then go down to clear data (it will at this point ask you to type in your pin) once thats done go to factory default you could also erase all channels not sure if erasing channels makes a difference lol but you could do that first then factory default then a full powerscan |

Ive just tried to update using old firmware, but again the green light is still on by "lock". So is this the reason my remote will not work? tried a remote off my max v box and that dont work either. The prob is im unable to do a reset or full scan. Can anyone help?

you could try to flash the original firmware back onto the box you would have to look for it though.
are you sure your box isnt one of the clone max version and not a eurovox 2 max came in blue and red suggestivly by the coloured box they came in you will get max written on the front dont mean to make you sound stupid just checking mate |

ok try this (it is for the max range but should be the same hopefully)
open up your box towards the centre just on the right there should be a button that you can press pres it once thats it. i know some people that say this has some how worked for them but cant get hold of them as of now so didnt know whether they had the box on at the time or off, or if it even worjks but worth a try mate |

You will need to jtag the box again to convert it back to a blue box again - that is the only way that a max remote will work on it.
