Hey my sis has just got a pace 1000 and cut tk and programmed a fun card with au.

The box is well ventled and it seems to freeze on channel, when this happends the box cnt be turned off via remote or any channel change, has to be unplugged from main to reboot.

She has told me that the old stb did have a 6db foward path at the back. Which is now taken off.

Any idea what it could be...

Have a look in eng menu at signal, too much can be as bad as not enough, have a look also if attenuation is set to high or low in menu.

put the forward path attenuater back on you may be close to the cab, or to far away...if your signal is to low you will loose the bbc channels or itv etc just black screen

change ur default freq 411.000 also the isolator may be analog take it out of line

In the eng menu on pg 13 is says on mine SNR Estimate 30.db and changes between 28 - 31 and says in green SNR OK

I'm able to change the channel freq on the same page using the channel up and down keys.

Either use a rom10 or Rom11 or change the Rom10/Rom11 image
you use for the Ext EEProm in your FunCard.
I think that you will find that this sorts it out.
It only seems to happen in Pace box using FunCards.
