A couple of friends were late to update their firmware, somehow being happ enough to manually enter codes. But when I try to update their boxes now, I am having erxtreme difficulty, despite following tutorials down to a tee (I found ones with slight variations). When the UFL program begins to load the new firmware on, it gets stuck either on 2% or 7% and is really starting to get on my wick!
They are Eurovox Max boxes, I am using Windows Vista and the firware I have is UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_18_04_08 Please help! |

I need a usb 232 converter which is then connected to the RS232 which is in turn obv connected to the eurovox. This worked fine for my own box, and its extremely infuriating as it is stopping at randoms numbers, 17%, 34%, even as far as 98% and I havent a clue what to do.
Is there a possibility the box is a clone? |

I see you are using a USB adaptor, a lot of people have trouble with this method and although you have successfully used it for your box it might not work on all boxes
is there the possibility you could try it on a friends PC with null modem cable only. |

Just gonna get myself sorted with a PCI card that has a dedicated RS232 connector. Does anyone know of cards that come with a 25 pin parallel port also, should the need to jtag ever come up? tryin to kill 2 birds with one stone....
