Default Sorry for being such a newbie ( eurovox problem)

I have recentley bought a eurovox max 2007 box

i have it connected up correctly and

when i do the powerscan it lasts for about 30-45 mins between in which the strength bar varies between red and green

after power scan finishes it dusnt turn up any channels but goes to the screen where its supposed to show a channel listing but instead of any channels showing. theres just a red bar goin up nd down at the bottom of the screen..

ny help or advice woul be much appreciated

are you scanning on the correct symbol rate for your area

wow thanks for the quick reply

Being a newbie i dont know the sybol rate for my area but i live in Reading
and have virgin for the service provider

Theres 2 different symbol rates for uk 6952 and 6887 acording to this list List of Net Id's for Cable TV your 6887 and the default setting for these boxes is 6952.
Do a factory reset to the correct symbol rate then scan again, once youve pressed the power scan button then change the mode from normal to full and you should receive all channels

A little more info:

Ensure cable feed is in RF in-use adapter supplied

Turn on the box and press menu
Press the right button to highlight CONFIG.
Use the down arrow to highlight CLEAR DATA.
Press OK and when asked for PIN enter 1004.(Or 0000)
Use the down button to highlight FACTORY DEFAULT and press OK on the remote control.
Select 1 for V**** /T******t or 2 for V*****/N** and press OK twice.
Press the right arrow to select FULL SCAN and press OK on the remote control.
Wait until all channels have been founds,can take a while
