Exclamation Eurovox max 08 signal problem..

Howdy,

Righty the box has been sweet for months and all of a sudden it’s flopped it. A block of channels on the same frequency have died and been replaced with 'service unknown' and 'insert smartcard' errors

The channels that are affected seem to be SkySports, Movies etc..

I've tried almost everything, full power scans on various frequencies. 6.887 seems to be the only that I can pick up TP's on. I then began to ponder my setup.

The live feed comes into my house and into the main bedroom, where it gets split into a modem which feeds a wireless router. The other feed is then patched to a cable which travels between the bedroom and the living room. If I plug the box upstairs to the main live feed without splitter/patch I get SkySports and all the other channels which are easily fine-tuned to give a watchable picture. But if I introduce the splitter alone, the picture becomes an unwatchable, fuzzy pixelation of a jigsaw-ish likeness.

So could this be the splitters fault? I then patched the patch cable directly to the main feed. I got the same results as the splitter - a fuzzy pixelation mess. So is this both the patch cable and splitter? Other channels work fine so I don't see why some blocks would just drop out.

Any ideas? I've tried to read up on other threads but have yet to find a solution to this problem.

Cheers
Dave

Change the splitter, but also check all the RF connections on your cabling. If they are sound, try a booster and connect it where the cable enters your house.
