Default T911 Unlooper/Loader

I have tried but to no avail to get this thing to work on my pc but it wont, i bought a pci card, didnt work although my infinity did, bought a serial usb jobby, didnt work, so i took it to my mates who has a true serial port on a very old laptop, plugged it in and ran newd11x, the little bar filled up and it said complete so i assume it took the flash, however as the sidewinder file was at my house and i was at his house i was unable to test it, i need a full on pc geek to teach me how to check something named irq and find out why my ports will run one serial unit but not another, in theory it should work, only thing i can think of is switches are not set properly or the flash didnt take, someone help me please its turning my hair grey now, its got to the point now where im debating selling it, who'll give me £50

I know you told me to flash with 2 & 5 down (on) and the rest up, would i be correct in assuming that once flashed then 2 & 5 would be up and the rest down? and the little black slider switch which was left during flash should now be right?
