Firstly let me get off my chest my sudden hate for USB->RS232 cables added together with Vista... Took me forever to get it working.
I eventually did and did the update and all seemed to go well. I went into the menu and used the new option 'fast setup'. I used the default fequency as I don't know any better (I am in Wimbledon, TW I believe). It scanned for ages and got to 770/770 and then auto sorted the channels. The problem is where I had over a hundred channels before, now I have about 8... Animal planet and a few others. As interesting as Animal Planet is, I could probably live with out it. Does any one know if I have done something very wrong. I am a first timer and any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers in advance, James EDIT : If this helps it is a MAX V box (2008) |

You should always save your channel data file before updating firmware as it saves you having to rescan.
There is a channel data file for telpest SW London in the cdf files for eurovox thread post 49 on page 5, try loading this to your box and see what you get. |

Thanks for that, I will try when I got home. It is the first time I tried and actually thought download would download the channels instead of actually replacing the firmware, minor misunderstanding on my behalf.
Crossing fingers that uploading the channels will fix everything ![]() |

Just to clarify on the Unified Flash Loader
The top download is for downloading new firmware to your box (the file is already built in to the loader) The Upload is to save your channel data from your box to your computer and the bottom download is to put the channel data file (that you have selected in the Browse box) back to your eurovox. |

Smoggy you are a star, I tried again to clear all data and then did a factory settings restore and did another scan and nothing, got the channels file you told me about, downloaded that and bang, I am back in business. Plus I have a head of channels I never had before
