Dbox 2

I have has just bought a nokia dbox2 from Germany
A customer from London has told me that he bought one from e-bay coming from Germany its has been flashed to uk settings
Well to cut the story short his Nokia Dbox2 does not work with the flash that was pre installed
has anyone got any advise how to get it up and running
I don't want his happening to me

the img maybe a modded uk img but it's likely u will have to scan for transponders for ur area. if the seller has used a new img then it should have location scanning or set my location which means u only have to choose ur area (usually press blue button on remote) reboot and carry out a service scan....if it's an older img u will need ur frequency, net id and sym rate for ur area input these manually and scan......

The quickest way of getting a dbox2 up & running in uk... use I.F.A. to flash the appropriate blade quad image you need to know if you have a 1x or 2x box. then set your location in the blade settings menu, reboot and service scan

i've flashed 20-30 dbox2's this way and have a sheet of instructions i give to people when ive flashed their box which tells them how to set location scan organise channels and change ucodes ect ect... haven't had one back yet :-)

SETTING UP DBOX2 WITH NEW AUTO UPDATE BLADE QUAD IMAGE

1. SET YOUR LOCATION
TURN ON BOX AND WAIT FOR IT TO BOOT UP
PRESS BLUE BUTTON ON REMOTE TO ENTER QUAD MENU
SCROLL DOWN TO #5 “SET MY LOCATION”
PRESS OK ON REMOTE
SELECT YOUR NEAREST LOCATION WITH CORRECT PROVIDER
PRESS OK ON REMOTE
PRESS OK AGAIN TO RESTART DBOX2
2. SERVICE SCANNING
WHEN BOX HAS BOOTED UP PRESS DBOX BUTTON ON REMOTE TO ENTER BLADE MENU
SCROLL DOWN TO #7 “SERVICE”
PRESS OK
SCROLL TO “SERVICE SCAN”
PRESS OK
SCROLL TO”SCAN FOR SERVICES”
PRESS OK
DBOX2 SHOULD NOW BEGIN TO FIND TRANSPONDERS AND CHANNELS
IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH NO EPG OR FINDING CHANNELS YOU CAN TRY DIFFERENT UCODES…
3. CHANGING UCODES
PRESS BLUE TO ENTER QUAD MENU
PRESS OK TO ENTER BLADE SETTINGS MENU
SCROLL DOWN TO UCODES AND USE SAME METHODS AS ABOVE TO CHANGE UCODE. YOU CAN ALSO CHANGE EMULATOR IN THIS MENU IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH AUTO UPDATING.
4. ORGANISING CHANNELS
IN BLADE MENU UNDER SERVICE GO TO BOUQUET EDITOR
PRESS GREEN TO CREATE A BOUQUET
GIVE IT A NAME…SPORTS…FAVOURITES ECT
SCROLL TO THAT BOUQUET
PRESS OK
THEN PRESS GREEN TO ADD CHANNELS
SCROLL DOWN THE LIST PRESSING OK TO MARK ANY CHANNELS YOU WISH TO BE ADDED
PRESS HOME TO SAVE AND FINISH
WHEN WATCHING TV PRESS THE OK BUTTON TO LOOK AT YOUR DIFFERENT BOUQUETS AND OK AGAIN TO SEE WHAT CHANNELS ARE IN THAT BOUQUET AND WHATS ON ECT
