Default Zeta Blue & TT1501

Hi,
I've been lurking and reading posts here for a while whilst get my system up and running. I have a TT1501 working with ProgDVB+softcam and vista MCE (unencrypted only). Now I want to get a hard cam working. I have a zeta blue from hisat, with J079, but can't seem to get anything to recognise it.
I tried it in my TT1501 CI and my theatre, ProgDVB, and even CI in a cas3 programmer, but nothing shows even a presence of a cam. All I get is initializing, then no cam present. I have even tried making my fun4 card, but putting that in doesn't seem to make a difference. Now I know Zeta blues can be a bit fussy taking the image. Should I just try Jtag'ing it with the cas3? or just return it to hisat as faulty? any tips or things you think i might be doing wrong. I would have thought the cas3 should recognise it. I've read other posts saying similar problems with the zeta blue's, but it doesn't say how they fixed it.

Any pointers would be appreciated

Thanks

got to be worth a try jtaging....strange how nothing recognises it?

Hisat are normally pretty good, sure they'll exchange if u can't get it to work

i think the fix was keep trying different apps untill one sees it but in your case you seem to have tried all of them.....

Thanks Twintown,

Good to know I'm on the right track!! I'll find a copy of j079 and try the programming it with the cas, and if that doesn't work contact hisat and see what they suggest. I got it from them, because they would pre-load it with what you wanted, and I thought that was one less thing to go wrong!!

Hi,

I had issues with a particular Zetablue - and from memory I had the same issue as you.

I wouldn't muck around with it, I would give hisat a call and politely see if they'll swap it.

The one I bought from Hisat is, Blue zeta P/N 1250/2002 prd-caew-0100, this was originally recommended by Cafe.Rcaer (I think), and worked for me, ask Hisat for a one with that serial number!!

Yeah I did post some part numbers and serial numbers on DW - I can't remember what they were but I can find out as I still have that CAM that didn't work.

I had a few issues like this when I first got my blue zeta, even now mytheatre on start up says looking for cam then ci slot empty (but decrypts). one thing to try is when creating your Exteep with your fun put in the current public keys and it should decrypt straight off if the cam is ok. it won't au but it should tell you if the cam works. wipe the fun 2 or 3 times before.
