I am quite new at this myself and was able quite easily to set one up.

I am assuming you have all the necessary cables etc.

Go into the FTA section and find the link for Eurovox. Go to the link and on the second page there will be firmware for the PVR. Download it to your pc.

Connect your PVR to your computer with no cable feed. Double click the firmware and a program will open up. Click on download and it will send the firmware to your box.

Once done, turn off the box. Plug in your cable feed and turn the box back on.

You will then need to do a scan (this explained several times on the forum). You can also apply a CDF file (again explained many times).

If you do a power scan a don't pik up any channels, try this -
1. Installation, click on fast install
2. Click the red button for advance set up
3. The top of the box will have 100.000mhz and second 870,000mhz try typing in 120,000mhz in stead on 100,000mhz
4. keep it on 6.952Mbaud
5. Step us - this should give you options of 6,7,8. depending on your area, try 8 first if you don't seem to get many TP's (transponders) try putting in different steps (i.e. 6 or 7 and also different input Mhz - 125.00mhz depending on your area as well)
6. you can select favourite on or off, i would suggest on
7. press ok to scan and watch the channels load

sorry to be a complete dumbo but what is the FTA section and where do I find it?

i just tried this, downloaded 1.1a of big maq, took feed out, BOX was on hit download, it reset box and had donl or something on the box. about 80 seconds, rebooted my box and said complete. with 0000 on front. I turned box off, put in feed, turned on, said no channels, went to menu still said 1.0 ???

hold that, it just did a scan and got the please wait code updating....

got all the channels but still says 1.0 in the systerm
