can never get a decent pint of foreign larger without it being expensive, was in a place in leeds and for a pint of 1664 blanc it was nearly 3.50 carlsberg export is quite nice if they don't have anything decent drifted towards ciders aswell during this spell of warm weather as magners is nice with ice which i was surprised i liked |

In a pub I'll drink real ale for preference. At home I tend to like the bottles of Eastern European lagers our local Tescos sell (they are less gassy than UK lagers and stronger as well for the same money)

For expensive though try Iceland - One place we stayed in a couple of weeks ago was 5.20 for a 500ml bottle! If you are a wine drinker then be prepared to pay over 20 quid a bottle.

Up to now I seem to be the odd one out.
I am a live beer man. John Smiths is the one around here. I.do not like lager iT blowes me up (ie fart a lot) I love Strongbow but after years of drinking it I think that it has given me problems.

Hmmm...this is a tricky one. Like Anolguesat, I prefer real ales and one of my local pubs stocks an extensive range of these (all draught too, non of yer bottled stuff), but I do like Holdens Special (5.1%), and Bank's Bitter. (3.8% I think).
Spirit-wise, anything over 70% (though I'm not that keen on rum). I don't drink lager unless I can get hold of Royal Dutch lager, though Amstel is ok. So are the German beers, Dortmunder Ritter, Herforder etc. I drink whiskey (Talisker, Balvenie, Dalwinnie, Grouse etc) and I wouldn't give 10 bob for Bells...lol |
