Default linux software/skystar hd

We have found a way of getting hd a cheaper way than buying any box.

What we are having probs with is the linux software and would you believe I am stumbling across the fact that not many of us experts do not know much about linux?

Google does not have any forums in this country for ati radeon x155o videocard with skystar hd...our europeans have but some of those still have virus.

What we would like to do also is to finally have everything working and be able to post info on here as and when but at the mo we need to irradiate our probs.

If there are linux software experts on here please help.

I'd guess that:
1. your native language is Spanish, because of the double negative form of question/statement.
2. it's support for the graphics card which is troubling you - it causes many users of ATI cards here problems as well. I run Ubuntu 7.10 with a Radeon 9200 card at 1280x1024, and have just seen other users of linux complaining about problems with higher resolutions - ATI are not very good at drivers for linux yet, but signs are that they are improving.

I think your questions might be better answered in a linux specialist forum, or even in our PC Software forum.
