Default Atlantic Bird 1 (12.5W) in Central Scotland?

According to the Lyngsat map a 75-95cm dish should be ok here for 12.5W but I'm struggling to pick anything up with 1m dish. Ok on 30w, 1w, 13e, 19e, 28e, 42e etc. Is it possible I may need to "tweak" the dish elevation to locate channels? Also, can anyone suggest a strong transponder on 12.5w I should be able to locate from here?

Many Thanks.

Default Re: Atlantic Bird 1 (12.5W) in Central Scotland?

Using a transponder list from another thread I've managed to set up 12.5w. A blind search picked up 38 tv channels - about 20 of them with pictures. However the main reason I've been looking at 12.5w is to try and watch sports feeds listed on satelliweb, but it is proving pretty fruitless. I've been adding the listed transponders and moving/fine moving but only once have managed to get pictures, and they were a bit ropey. Are these feeds on weaker transponders or might it be possible to pick them up by tweaking the dish?

Any advice, thanks.

hi
i cant comment on your location but from s wales on a 1m dish i get
LA7 PRG 12.723H / 5.768 as the strongest channel on 12.5 W
its showing 85% strength and 76% quality at the moment on my TM5400 and you can add about 5% strength for a shorter cable run than mine!
