Default DVB-S 100 on PC

I'm trying to install a Kworld dvb-s 100 onto my xp computer. Everything seems to have been installed, but when I scan for channels I'm not showing any signal reading on the screen, and not getting any channels. I have a good signal from Astra28.2E , and I am using a quad LNB, which is giving good signal into set top box. Satellite finder is showing good signal into computer. I installed tuner card into PCI slot, and assume this will provide all power for LNB etc.
The limited install instructions are asking for the low LSC frequency and I don't really know what I'm looking for. I've been on Astra site, but nothing stands out.
Any advice offered will be gratefully received.
Thanks
Dave

Hi, the LNB on the dish converts the incoming signals from the satellite into an IF (intermediate frequency) which can travel better in the coax cable to the receiver, and which the tuner is designed for.
Depending on the band the satellite broadcasts on, and the design of the receiver's tuner, an LNB of different value may be used.
For a standard Sky setup LNB (quad included) this is 10600 and 9750 for the two bands (high and low, that's what they are in my generic receiver's settings) - the tuner has only half the frequency range so needs the band split into two and to switch the downconverter frequency the LNB uses by sending a 22kHz tone.

I had a similar problem with a compro DVBS card it just wasn't powering the LNB, something to do with the PCI slot power spec I understand ? attaching a cheap signal meter to the card did not light the meter proving no power, after swopping it twice with the same error, I swapped for a skystar 2 and haven't looked back.
