Default No signal after swapping single LNB for Octo LNB

Hi peeps,

As title, I have taken the single o/p LNB off my mini dish (which worked fine) and replaced it with an Octo LNB. Now I get 'no satellite signal is being received' message on my screen.

I've tried the angle on 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (what are these anyway?) and no difference. I can say that the LNB doesn't sit perfectly tight in the end of the dish like the old one did. I need one of them adapters. Would this possibly be the cause? I have tried putting the Type F connector on 3 different o/p's, still nothing.

I ran the 'signal check' through the Sky menu and I got about 70% Signal strength, 70% Signal quality, Lock indicator: OK. I'm not sure what I should be getting but never the less I still had no picture.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as always. Thanks for reading.

Reboot & try, as signal seems fine.
You have to be careful not to knock the dish as you do the LNb swap, this would cause no signal but in your case there is signal there.

Unplug & reboot

Hi, if the LNB does not sit tight, and is not facing the same angle as it was before, this may be your problem.

If you can see your TV whilst holding the LNB, see if you can get a signal by miving the LNB about a bit.

Quads and octos are heavier than singles, but even if it caused the arm or dish to drop somewhat, there should still be some signal.

The "angle setting" or skew as it it known, should be set to 3,assuming you are in the UK.
