Isthere a file I can downlad to unlock sim for sony erickson K8501

Hi, this phone can't be unlocked for free at present. The newer Sony Ericsson models are based on a new platform which is known as DB3150 or A2. Phones like K850i, W910i, W960i etc are all on this new platform.

Your phone can be unlocked but it costs £20. I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed with the service.

Go on that website and follow the instructions. All you need is the USB cable that came with the phone and some free software that you download from the site. Your £20 pays for a login for the program so that your phone can be unlocked.

I used this service to unlock my W910i and I am now using my Vodafone sim card in a phone which was locked to the "3" network.
