Default EuroVox vs Starview

Would i be right in saying that the EuroVox needs a lot of care and attention in order to get and keep it up and running or does it have more functionality compared to the Starview box? Reason i ask, is that i set up the Starview relatively quickly with some direction of where to download the initial firmware but there seem to be endless threads for CDF files on the EuroVox and it appears the codes change quite often? Is it the better box?

Good stuff. A few of my friends have the Vox but it was setup by someone else so they coudlnt say how hard it was. My dilema is deciding between the Vox PVR or the Starview PVR. 15 pgs of troubleshooting errors agains the Vox is a bit offputting though

I wouldn't be too concerned about that mate, the reason for 15 pages of trouble shooting errors could be the fact it's a more popular box and therefore naturally will have more people asking about certain things.
I have never set up either of the boxes (PVR variety), so I could be wrong.
However having set up the normal versions of the boxes I would say, the Eurovox is more easier and requires little maintenance if you have the latest firmware.

how often codes change depends the supplier and effect all cable boxes
and a lot of the probs setting up a eurovox are down to suppliers not providing clear setup instructions.
also when installing sw many people use wrong lead for connecting box to pc and where laptops are used with incorrect usb adaptors.
It has always been recomended when doing the first scan on a new box it should be done from the main in feed with no splitters in line.
