hello all, i already have a eurovox connected to a dvd-harddrive-recorder but the dvd drive is broke meaning i cant put any of my stored movies on to dvd(& it takes up to much space on my unit)...... Anyway If i get a eurovox-pvr with built in hardrive will i be able to transfer stored movies from it to my PC & then may be to dvd?

cheers

sounds good . Would i have to disconect the harddrive from the eurovox & then connect it to my pc(If so how is this done?) ,or do i just connect the eurovox to my PC & access the harddrive through that?

what format would the movies/shows be in once transported to my PC,can i really burn straight to dvd or do i need to make them compatible to play on a home dvdplayer(Which usually takes about a hour using nero)?

cheers

Not 100% sure what format the "media" files would by to tell you the truth. You have to disconect the HHD from the Eurovox and plug it into your PC, The HHD is located in the front of the Eurovox with same conections as in your PC, but i think the best way would be to conect using an external caddy, which then conects to the PC via USB.

You can use videoReDo to change files to burn to dvd, or Nero if you have the plug in.

Except for the fact that a PC won't recognise the Drive - it will report it as unallocated storage. If you try to partition the drive in windows it will destroy all your recordings.

You cannot currently transfer any recordings from your PVR to your PC
