success in flashing

I think I have been successfull in flashing my bluebox eurovox but how can I tell until the codes change. Or is there another way of knowing that the flashing was a success?? At first because I only had a 25 pin female socket on the back of my computer I tried flashing with a usb and a rs232 connection null modem cable but it did not work so I got the null modem cable with 2 9 pin rs232 connectors and used a different computer this time no problems.

go into menu-config-system info and check the s/w version it should say 21 april

if your firmware update has been successful... you can test the key update by manually entering the wrong keys, and letting the box find the correct ones

I have done that and it reset to the correct keys.
