Although I have the 12V model, it does work on the mains version too. It's the chipset which is important.

Yes that is the gist of it. Depending on what is open at the time - foreign packages. You won't Sky without a subscription.

Most brands of receiver in the satellite section are patchable. Some are better supported than others.

Technomate, Vantage, Humax and if you like a challenge Dreambox are all well supported and there are many others.

The Comag/Silvercrest boxes using truman/yumato modified firmware are having a good spell at the moment.

Hello,
I'm new to this. I have a 'silvercrest SL56/12 reciever' with the ' B1 chip'. I need info on how to patch it. I have been reading the forums and I found 'truman_EMU_1.3.78_revised sl65'. I opened it with winZip but the file was empty. I'm at a loss as what to do now. Help would be appreciated.

All the information you need - including where to get the latest patch (currently 1.3.99) - is contained in the tutorial at the top of the thread!

does Thor 1 W work on SL65? When I look through the list of satelites on the reciver I only see Astra, Hotbird etc, but not Thor!

Do I have to add the satelite manually or something?

Need answer fast, thanks!

Yes, but you will need to enter the satellite in manually if not listed.

Digitv on 1w is no longer not au'ing on the latest patch. You will need to enter keys manually.
