Default One for all

Hi all. Been a long time reader of this awesome site for the past 6 months and am finally making my first post. My question is, is there a way of having 1 dish which will able me to run 2 sky + boxes both with subs and also a techomate (maybe) to watch the football with a digitalb sub. i am located in the north west (liverpool), so if anyone has any idea of the best way to do this and any contacts to install the system it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That would be possible on one fixed dish. With a dual lnb set up.

You would need a 90cm dish pointing at 16 deg east for digitalb,

and a 2nd quad output lnb pointed at 28deg east for your two sky+ box`s.

Why don't you have a go at installing it your self? Its very easy, plenty of help

from the guys here

Southernsatellite has some great prices on sat gear, im sure he could sort out

your shopping list.

Thanks for the advice crossbones. think I will give it a go myself. We are currently in the process of moving, so this will be my first project once we are in. Also will there be any problems with reception, mainly for the sky boxes when not using a standard sky dish?

I have two dishes at the moment, S*y minidish and 90cm dish. The reception (28.2E) on the 90cm dish is far better than the mini dish

It will be better, as you can choose what lnb`s you use, also a bigger dish, so alot more signal and gain

Good to know. Also what system is the best for a first timer on a limited budget, and is the digitalb sub the best way to go or are there any other alternatives?

I'll leave the 'best way to go' to the Mods and others whose opinion is more valuable than mine, however I have the Digitalb Gold package (sport and films along with other bits) and I find the footie worth having, but the films I find frustrating as they all have Albanian subtitles. People say you get used to them but I never did.

Regards

It is only the 3pm football i'm really after, anything else is a bonus. Been looking at marconi digital offering the arabesque package showing the premiership. is this true? at £95 it seems at lot cheaper than digitalb. Has anyone here a. got this package and b. bought from marconi. Again sorry for all of the questions.

Yes apparently it is true from what i can make out ART will show 3 games on a Saturday the 12:30 game then one 3:00pm game and then the late evening game (the one that's shown on setanta) so seems pretty good value . the only thing no one is sure about is whether it will carry English commentary.
Think this might hit Digitalb sales quite a bit this year.
