D Box2 cable please help set me up

Hi Folks, I have a nokia D Box 2 on cable which I was using fine for almost 2 years untill about 4 months ago when everything went down due to virgin finally managing to block these. Anyway i tried messing around fora couple of days with no luck and gave in to virgin getting a deal but hav herd people are getting them working again.

I was wondering if anybody out there could advise me if there is anywhere close to dundee that i could take my box to get set up or is it simple enough for me to do with some instruction. I am not at all computer literate so would probablly be best to pay to get it set up.

it was running comando something image but thats about all I know.

All you need to do is FTP the rom 7 fix to var/keys. Have a search around the forum for help on FTP or go to the FTA download section and download the fix and a guide.

Thankyou for your sugestion but I would apreaciate if you understood that I know very little about computers and therefor found your help totally confusing, not knowing what the hell "FTP the rom 7 fix to var/keys." means. and had a look at the FTA section but hadn' a clue where I was to be looking.

If anybody would help without having to showoff there computer literacy I would be a very happy chappy.

I wasn't showing off !!

If you want to be able to fix dboxes you need to know a little about File Transfer Protocol or FTP and setting up a network between your computer and dbox.

May I suggest you read through the forum where you will find all the answers you need..............also try google for some guides and tutorials. The best document to be had is PT-1's dbox helpfile, everything you need to know about the dbox is in that document.

But that sort of comment will only make it harder to get help,
We are not here to show off only to help and rodboy explained to you the easiest way to do that.
A simple google search would explain what FTP means.
