hi all again,

thanks for all your recent help.

i have a problem with a starview box it is a clone i think, i had a look on another site at the pictures so therefore i believe it is, i have downloaded all the firmware and put new codes in and changed the emu to on but when i run the autoscanl it say channels failed. i can not access the parental control or the channel scan. is there any thing any1 could think i have or am doing wrong. there is nothing wrong with the ntl as my other box works off the connect.

the firmware now reads
api ver:2.57e-E
boot ver7.0

which version of starview do you have, 1,2 or 3

i think it is a 1 how can you tell plz i have no clue. it is in a purple box if that is any help

ive just looked at the pics and the the box and remote look like a copy but will i have to take it apart for you to know wether it is a clone or not

Starview on receiver front = SV1
The box on front = The Box (SV2)
The Box Super = SV3

when i bought it it came with a gtrom v4.00 if this helps any

on the front of the reicver it says starview so it must be a 1 i think

what does it say on the front left hand side and refer it to my previous post

must have both been posting at the same time, yes its starview 1

You need the cryptstar 1.4-core clonesafe firmware
