Kryptview with no menu - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hi everyone
Just got me one of these boxes.
Flashed it using both methods from the tutorials (pressing red button twice first and plugging it in after start the download)
During the first flash i did not go into the menu and turn off the power scan thing though.

Anyway when i turn the box on it goes straight to 0000 on the front, non of the other buttons do anything, cannot get into the menu ect.

If i press 6 or 7 the box does go to another channel then goes straight back to the 0000 channel.

Not too sure if I have done something wrong.

Could anybody shed any light

I've just flashed mine, don;t understand what you mean when you say plugged it in after start downloading, it should be plugged in before you turn the box on, then click start, then press the red button twice, and then the standby button.

Wait till the message in the box on your computer says download success.

Sounds like a bad flash cretep, start the loader again, press download, wait a few seconds, then power up the arnet, you might have to do this a few times till it kicks in..jay

The reason you dont plug in the arnet until after you press download is that on the arnet your power scan is on auto and this may cause a bad flash

Didn't know that, I just plugged it in and did the flash like I explained

Yes its ok to flash the box the way you did do it with a new box, but its best to do it with the power off till you press download, this way it may stop a bad flash as the auto scan is on
