Well I thought I'd give this firmware flashing a go with my old webstar cable modem, anyway I've now bricked it as far as I can tell as the pwr light comes on for two seconds then goes off.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction to unbricking my modem, if I can get it unbricked I'll make a step by step guide on how to do it.

Ok so far Ive made a blackcat cable and got blackcat working, it will read the cpu information but when I try and read flash it just says NO FLASH DETECTED. Anyone got any further thoughts?

ok after further investigation I think my blackcat "No Flash detected" message is related to blackcat not being able to see the samsung flash memory chip my webstar has.

I have tried updating the flashpi.dll in blackcat with no luck.

Any further ideas?
