Default Pci Serial Card

hi.. i recently purchased a pci i/o expansion 2port serial RS232 card because i wanted to flash my eurovox. i have vista installed. AMD athlon(tm) 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6400+.. 2Gb Ram.. 32bit operating system. since iv installed the card my computer on reaching the destop restarts it self sometimes showing a blue screen sometimes not. The card is fine i dont understand why its doing this.. everytime i take the card out windows installs fine. its just when i add the card.. please any help would greatly apreciated. thankyou

Unfamiliar with Vista installation myself, but if you can spare a USB socket (occasionally, for flashing), then a USB connected serial port/converter is one way to go, they're not expensive (#bay).

thnx but iv tryd that. the null cable isnt recognised through the usb.

The card might not be compatible with your system as it sounds like Vista is trying to identify the hardware and install drivers.
Try booting up in safe mode, press the F8 key on boot up and select safe mode, Vista will then run without the drivers loading.
If it runs OK it is a software problem if not it is probably a hardware fault with the card.
