this seems to be a different one from the above. SO either something has happened to the card, I might have messed-up something or may be its damaged now, but I can still retrieve the IRD and Box Key through the other software... what could be the possible cause!!!

Same issue i had, card is locked. You will need an unlooper. You card is fine though, you still get an ATR which means the card is not fried.

get an unlooper and use the bod unlocker.

Hi m8,
To my knowledge the card was reprogrammed with the chipped box and working fine for some time. Do you think it was locked by the person who has reprogrammed it? Stupid question but is it a software or hardware (unlooper) never used this so my apologies for the question?

Ah, ok.

Right, even if the card was programmed before, its been locked again, this can be locked by the user or even by putting the card back into the box.

Unless you use an unlocked image (not recommended, means CC can kill it) it will always relock the card.

An Unlooper is a piece of hardware which you connect to your com port, insert your card and then run several scripts in order to zero all bugs within the card, this will unlock it for reading in nagra or xncs.

Unloopers range in price from £20-40 depending where you buy.

Ask lincsat for prices, hes very reliable and many claim his delivery to be very very fast!

Thanks for the info. I am doing this purely and purely for my knowledge. I dont have a cable connection at my home. Trying to reprogramme a card on experimental basis and on a one off basis for a friend. I'll consider buying the Unlooper, if that is the only method to unlock. Could you tell me please where can I get support for the Unlooper (files, script etc) and which Unlooper is a good one??

5.1 is wrong one ,Use nagra edit 4.1 , the cas 3 uses cas studio the same as my dynamite plus, you should be using 3.68, i hope you have correct bk as mron will wipe it, try reading it as above, you can use boxget pc2 to get bk also, your card isnt locked according to your first post, just back door blocked.

Yes I was thinking this as well that my card isn't lock otherwise I would not been able to get the IRD number. By the way I got both numbers now i.e. IRD and BK. I tried to repair the card using the MRom as suggested in one other thread here and I ended up in a changed BK number i.e FF FF FF FF, but thank God I have noted the correct one. So are you suggesting that I should use 3.68 Cas Studio and 4.1 Nagra I'll try both of these. Do you think I'll be able to access the card (without the unlooper) and change the dates etc there? as presently I am unable to access the card.

IF your bk is showing FF FF FF etc, the cards been hit with a fake ird and bk.

Just because you can read the ird doesn't mean the card is unlocked at all!

Mine is locked, without a doubt, and i can view the IRD in xncs as often as i like, of course it now reads as zeros, but it matched that which is on the scart label when i originally wrote all the info down.

I had tried anything and everything for days to get it to properly read the card, never did it get there, and not once could i edit anything, hense why i now know for certain it needs to be unlooped.

if you repaired the card in mrom you should be able to read it in 4.1 but you will need to put a new rom11 image on it with your bk and ird
