Default Eurovox EX 5000 pvr

Hi I'm new to the forum and I'm wondering if anyone can help, does anybody have a problem with their Eurovox pvr freezing up. I have mine fitted with a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 120GB. I have to reset it to get it working again but it's not so good if you've got it set to record and it happens.

After reading through hundreds of posts on here it would appear that you need to fit it with a seagate 120gig or smaller, all other models seem not to work, ive not got one but the general concensus is seagate.

western digital and seagate both work without any probs as has been mentioned in several posts when you say it freezes is it doing this only when recording or all the time.
when you start to record it is normal for the picture to freez for a few seconds befor it actualy starts to record.
Freezing in normally associated with a signal problem either to high or to weak a signal or a bad lead connection.

Hi thanks for that, it's sometimes when I switch it on there is no picture and I need to reset it with the power switch at the back. I'm thinking it may be the hard drive or is this something that is associated with the pvr.

when you switch on does it go to the same channel all the time and can you not change chans with the remote.
you could also try the obviouse and remove the hd and see if it still happens also tell us what signal you are getting.
