Getting my system installed in a week or 2, technomate super with 1 metre dish, need a cam and card....any ideas. its motorised!!!

That explains what receiver you have but not why you want a cam and card.
The Technomate 1500 can be patched to receive most of what's available without the need of any cam or card.
Also a DigitAlb subscription card will work in a patched Technomate receiver without a cam.
The only Cam that is getting anything different is the Diablo 2.3 which can currently open DigitAlb 16E and Canal Digital 1W, but to program this you will also require a Cas programmer.
What we need to know is what are you trying to receive that needs a cam or card?

A ok , as you can tell i know nothing about this , looking manly for football film, etc ...i take it you need a rs323 cable to patch the box , and the patch is in downoads

You can get the latest patches and softcam keys from alsat.
You will need a Null Modem cable and a Com port on your computer/laptop, or a USB to Serial adapter.
With a patched Technomat you can currently open the following main packages:
Premiere 19E
Polsat 13E
Digi TV 1W

cheers matey...... have all the rest...I understand the patch part of it but soft camkeys , do these have to be inputted thriugh a secret menu in the box

The patch is currently AU, Auto Update, for most packages, so there is no need to load new keys.
But for some extra channels, like BIIS or DCW you need to load the latest softcam keys, after loading the patch.
Have a read through the Technomate section, there should be lots of useful information concerning your receiver.
