Hey guys,
Tomorrow I will be building myself an HTPC. I was originally gonna go with the hauppauge wintv DVB-S2 to get the freesat channels. However after browsing around this forum I have discovered that there is so much more available out there if you have the know how and the right equiptment! Well the equiptment isn't a problem as it can be easily purchased. Unfortunately the know how can't!! I am after receiving as many FTA and HD channels as possible from around the world and understand that I would need a motorised dish.?? I currently have sky+ which I would ditch in heartbeat if I could get some decent TV for free or significantly cheaper. So.. Would I be able to motorise my sky dish to receive signals from all the other satelites? If so does anyone know a place in or around Leeds, west yorks that would do this for me cheaply? Also would the Skystar HD card be up to job? And finally what else would I need for this setup? (Cams etc..) Thanks in advance for any help/info Andy |
