U Tube Downloading

Hi All,
My kids giving me grief about alowing her to download u-tube videos etc.
Problem is im not to good at this sort of thing.
What is the best software to use to download and also so I dont have to convert the video clips
She want to put funny clips on her phone

You can try Real Player, a free utility.
Real Player allows you to download most videos shown on the internet, by simply right mouse clicking and saving.
There is also an option to Burn/Transfer videos but I have never used this option so I can't tell you if it works.

New problem, when watching a u-tube video the video plays for a few seconds then freezes for a few seconds then starts angain for a few seconds and again and again etc etc

Then get an flv player (google flv player - there are various ones available).

Be aware You Tube recently had to hand over the IP addresses & usernames of everyone who has ever watched videos to one of the music companies - so no doubt they will be going after heavy users at some point..... for copyright breaches.!

I recommend to use the soft I have, Videoraptor, it downloads videos and mp3s directly from the websites and also it converts the files into the formats you want so you can have your favorite musics on other music devices such as cellphone, mp3 players, ipod. you should give it a try cause it's a good deal

I use a prog called orbit downloader,it enables you download embedded video pics etc not had any probs with it and the good thing is its also free do a google search and you will find it no probs..hope this helps

Those programs where do they download videos from??? Only from youtube??

No they can download most videos that are displayed. There is some new software specifically designed for downloading these videos called mytube, or something similar, it was reviewed in PC Advisor.

The program I use, Videoraptor, downloads videos from other websites except youtube, like myspace, dailymotion etc. I for one I get vids only from youtube cause I find all the music I want there.
