Hello all, whilst removing one credit card from my PayPal account and adding the new one it cancelled my subscription to Newsdemon Newsgroups. So after having a little search about for a replacement I came about this offer:-
http://www.news.astraweb.com/specials/kleverig-11.html In short it says:- Unlimited DSL - US$ 11 every month No Speed Limits No Download Limits 150 Days Retention 20 Connections You will pay $11 for every month as long as your subcription remains active. We will not raise the price. * This is a SPECIAL offer. Available for a Limited time only. Have been on a couple of days and could not be more impressed for the price, which includes SSL encrypted server ![]() Just thought I'd post it up so anyone thinking of giving it a try, newsgroups that is, could try them out at a reasonable price. By the way, they don't accept PayPal, credit card only I think. Bilko. |

Not bad price but problem is it may sound good but the service is not so or very limited files which is why it's always better to pay extra for a know provider.
Giganews I would say is the best |

Actually Astraweb is very good, not as good as Giganews, but a fraction of the price. You can also Pay by Download if you want to try it out or are only a light downloader.
Another cheap premium server to try is Hitnews.eu which has a €1.50 trial option - then you can prepay for up to 2 Years at €120. They are Dutch, but have an English language option

I used to agree with you. I was a long time user of utorrents which was great but if you want something new or popular you could take days to download a 1 gig file (then find its fake). I now use giganews and can download the same file in 15 mins max.
