20Mb Mac but only receiving 4-5Mb

Hi, I'm using a Mac from my friends 20Mb connection but I'm only receiving 4-5Mb. I've tried a few different config files but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

Try testing your down speed at different times of the day, might be to do with capping...

I've been testing every couple of hours its always the same, I'm using a config file for an ambit 200 but noticed that in the settings page the config file shows up as a 250 config file. I've tried changing it to a 120config and the business config but it always shows up as the 250 one.

if you have a 20 meg mac dont force a config i havent been able to force for a couple of weeks now im running a mid mac and getting 10 meg down, wen i do force the speed dropped to 1/2 meg and the tftp kept resetting too

I've tried that and its still not working and now for some weird reason my uploads went down to 150Kb. I don't even know if I have the right settings for my area. I live in Northern Ireland which is a pure area but I don't know if its annex b or 3 or if the freq is still 402750000.

EDIT: Crap I've accidentally disabled the Telnet using the 250 configurator anyone know how to reactivate it?

I'm not able to change any of my modems settings now after I accidentally disabled the telnet. I've tried with my rs232 cable and that won't work either anyone have any ideas?
