Problem is the same with cam in and with cam out. Tp12207 h 2700 on hotbird signal strenght is 99 and quality is 82 -88% one minute its there next its not. even the fta sama fm tv is there one minute then its gone then 5 mins later with flicking to other tp and channels its back again.
the signal/quality bar goes right up then down to nothing, service not available displays, the signal bars go, then bad or no signal displays and motor is moving is dislpayed, then signal bars go up and down. flick to another tp (12226 v 27500) and all is great. i have deleted the sat and rescanned them all in and also deleted the individual tp and rescanned it again still no good. when it does show, its good quality siganal and all is good, but change channel/tp and go back its gone again. thanks |

There is a known problem with cordless telephones distrupting certain frequencies, but I can't remember the frequencies.
If you have a cordless telephone try unplugging the base unit. Does this only happen on this frequency or other channels? Check if any other Horizontal channels are experiencing a similar problem. |

have checked all the horizontals on 13e and nearly all have this problem.
disconnected phone base but made no difference at first then i got 12207 back i think this was coincidence as when i flicked tp and went back it had gone again. put base station back on and still kept 12207 but this is inconclusive as its so hit and miss. tp 12360 h 27500 sex view info fta came in ok then went to next sexview channel and had problem then went back to info fta and that had gone, even with base station off,its so intermittent. ive just run a test, i moved from hotbird with 12207 working to thor, flicked a few channels then went back to hotbird and 12207 worked fine, i then put box into standby and then turned it on 12207 played up again, i flicked abt to another channel then back and it came on ok |

If it's happening on all Horizontal channels then it could be your LNB or cable, check for any water ingress and check the connections at the receiver and LNB.

checked and redone all the connections and sealed 2nd unused input on dual lnb with tape, hope this will help.
if any water had got in to cable i assume this will dry up and should be ok?

If water has got in the LNB could be permanantly damaged and if it's in the cable it has been known to work its way down and into your receiver, but you would have spotted some signs of damage to the end of the cable if it was really bad.
Just keep an eye out for any future signal loss on Horizontal or Vertical channels, as when a LNB is damaged it quite often stops switching so only one will open. |

these are the tests ive done
tried other input on lnb tested different cable to reciever bypassed motor rescanned on auto search all to no avail ![]() i cant do anymore tests that i know of, the prob still exists and is still intermittent. i have noticed that on 99% of encrypted channels on hotbird the signal would come and go when service is not available (thisis what displays if cam not in or wont open channel) should the signal strenght show permanent even if the channel is locked or cam cant open. On 28e the signal stays permanent even on a locked channel, on thor and 1w if the cam is not in the signal would drop like hotbird, although flicking between channels on thor is ok, i can go from one to another and back and not lose the channel like on hotbird, which is the problem. ![]() This is not exclusive to horizontal frequencies als some verticals do it as well Last edited by Physcogem; 16-08-08 at 05:20 PM. |
