hi please help i used to have d2mac decoders and cards many years ago the good old days.Of tv1000 and many more i am going to start up again but wish to try and recieve tv1000 again and other channels i have seen on ebay the technomate 54000 and others i am in the uk midlands area.
Can you suggest a reciever and dish size i would require as wwll ahs cards all patchs i have to do many thanks. |

the 5400 will be ok but with h/d well on its way get the 6900 technomate can be patched , put a hardive to it , and tv 1000 is open right now but for how long we dont no . it could all be black the next day , in this game pay your money and take a chance , dish bigger the better 1 to 1,2 m will be ok for most , and a diablo cam will open what the t/mate does not on 16 % and 1 % but the same as above , how long , madsod

You dont need ANY experience of linux to get the best out of a DB. BUT there is a VERY steep learning curve associated with getting them to work properly

As far as Im aware the 6900 wont read a sky card directly. You would need something like a diablo cam as well.
Even if you go down the diablo route you wont be getting rid of the sky box - you would need to put the card back in the sky box overnight once a month or so to allow it to pick up its "stay alive" signals
