Checked the caps on the psu and the out put voltage all seem fine.
I've reflowed the 512 still get the same err, now i've just taken the 512 chip off and still get the same err (88:88) |

Try replacing with new 512 chip, i had once which gave me same err message on display and i had to change the chip, or try first with erasing the chip and re write it again.

yes if the chip is taken off and u power the box it will still show 88:88
|
