Help to unlock modem

Hi ive got one of these modems("see below" the ones VM currently send with the selfinstall kit). im on 2meg exTW area is there anyway to unlock/patch etc the speed on these. Also have a second self install VM sent with an unactivated modem in it could I do it to that and activate it without phoning VM.

EDIT: Sorry about that for some reason the picture hasnt attached itself. Its either the ambit 255 or 256 not at home at the minute so cant check. I got my starter kit 2 weeks ago so guessing the later model.

what modem is it? i can see anything below...anyway if u areas anything like mine it's the 256 thats getting handed out(remember i'm just guessing) if it is then the only way for now to do it (i think) is by lifting the u300 chip i only know cuase i'm in the middle of getting the stuff together to try 1

the 255 is done the same as the 250 and only takes 10 min......and like i said above the 256 has to have the u300 chip lifted its a 25l160 i think when i get to my lappie i'll post up the 250 tut for u for the 255

The process to unlock this is an easy step. follow the directions
