Cams and questions

I have 2 quick questions newbee so go easy plz, i have a technomate 6900 which is patched just wondered if i drift into cams and programmers etc what if any extra will i get? my dish is motorised so can pick up most sats.

I ve been reading in depth on this forum and several times i ve seen nordic beams mentioned, what are these and how do they affect sat signals in the uk ?

Hi kenny1234,
welcome to the forum.
The only Cam that is opening more than your patch is the Diablo 2.3, which can currently open DigitAlb 16E, and Canal Digital 1W.
To program this Cam you need a Cas programmer, if you haven't already got one I recommend the Cas 3+ as this can program both Cams and cards.
To give further advice we would need to know the size of your dish and your general location.

The Nordic beams are what Canal Digital use on Thor 0.8W.

The signal in the UK is weak, as shown approx by the footprint above.

I can pick them up on my 1m in the SE UK, with a bit of rain margin. The rest of the UK may be a problem though.

canal digital sport channels are on very strong thor 5 beam here, which is what i now view the football on and pic is very good on my tv
