Default newbie questions

hi new member great forum. thinking of getting starview 3 from ebay and wondered if there are any sellers to avoid. also any help in locating update files and general help is appreciated i have found the post on updating seems fairly straight forward but is there anything important i should know so i dont mess it up
i have also read posts on codes can anyone tell me how often you need to change them

No need to update key codes as the starview is an auto updater like most other boxes.

Got mine from flea bay and it is the real deal. Have they even cloned the box super yet ?

As far as it goes the starview 3 has not been cloned yet. Take a look at the sellers feedback dating back to 90 days and then ones that have bought a few over that period that may give you a good idea about the confidence people have in the boxes from a particular seller.
Wizards satellite were official dealers but their website seems to be down all the time.
