Default Sky TV Link connectors

I just ran a new cable for my mothers Sky+ to her bedroom but the TV-Link won't light up. What is the best type and method of fitting connectors to get the TV-Link to work?

Should I use F-Types and adapters or normal coax connectors?

Any advice and help appreciated,

Fangio.

You can use normal co-ax connectors if you have a good connection - F connectors + adaptors would be better.

You have turned the voltage on in the Sky+ box and pushed it onto the correct connection?

Its just a replacement cable and the link was working. I just wanted some guidance on recommended connectors for this type of setup. I will hunt out someone who sells the right gear.

Thanks,

Fangio.

You need to turn on the voltage for the TV link to work. Go to Sevices menu then without looking at the screen press 401 then select. This will take you into the hidden installers menu where you'll find the option to turn it on.

Also make sure you are using the RF2 output and not RF1.
