Max v 2008 wont jtag

My genuine eurovox maxV 2008 crashed a while back(no power) so got the gear etc to jtag and flash it,which I eventually managed to do and was workin fine until I went on holiday,came back and plugged it into the mains.Same problem display blank no power. Jtagged and flashed again then went through the hassle of sorting all the favrits etc.Came home from work the next day to find there had been a power cut and guess what yip back to square one, only this time I cant seem to jtag it.I have been using sky max 2 and black max V full leicester flash dump to jtag and ufl max v kuro3 10 4 08 to flash.When trying to jtag everything going ok until I hit the write button, it seems to be stopping and saying " error writing flash at address 7fe80000 ACK= 00000100.
Write flash end. Anyone any ideas, should I be using different stuff, its the st chip.Getting really fed up with it now, pulling ma hair out, and spending hours on it and gettin nowhere any help much appreciated.

Before you went down the Jtag route did you check the C14 cap on the PSU board? All these power surges wouldnt have been good for it. BTW I would recommend using the 18/04/08 firmware as opposed to the 10/04/08 firmware.

Yip all connections caps and voltages check out,now getting message on skymax saying erase fail,so have tried internal reset button, pulling power lead out and starting again etc.Managed to jtag earlier on and then started to download with dnld on display but it came up saying downloading failed so had to restart again but com ports flashing between 1 and 3 and when I press start I get a message saying waiting for a response from your receiver, so im having to unplug power lead from back and start again.Have done this umpteen times to no avail so im back to trying to jtag again but chip wont erase.If I manage to get it jtaged again with skymax 2.2, what firmware program do you think I should use and where can I download it from,the stuff ive got came on a cd with the jtag cable.P,s its a genuine black max v 2008 with the st chip, Thanxs for your help mate
