Angry So close yet so far... :(

Hi everyone,

Right i need some straight answers im close to getting my modem working but at the same time being held back by little things this is the stage im at.

Ive scanned for macs using dhcp sniffer for 24h and have around 25macs i also have a confirmed 20mb one and a confirmed 5mb mac from friends and family.

Now ive begun to try the scanned macs and also the confirmed 20mb one that i have and each time in the infinite web server menu i get ACCESS TO NETWORK ALLOWED!!! every things green and ready to go but when i try to surf i get a message saying "sorry we dont recognize your connection click here" and the link takes me to a page with two isp's on it both leading to a call number.

Now i think im messing up on the config files for the connections! as in my area it would appear forcing doesn't work anymore, in ambit tool you select configs from a drop down menu but not all the configs are in the menu because i just checked my personal subscribed modem and its cmreg-ntlhm256-light.cm in ambit tool there isnt any 256 configs??? so technically how would i get macs from 256 modems to work especially how its these modems that are shipped nower days.

Is there anyway to just input the mac and let the config be auto selected so i can run with the users default speeds???

Hi sharkbait559 yeh thats the first thing i try always because if you dont the cache of the browser doesnt get refreshed and you will get either a mistake of some sort or page 404 not found ect. The browsers working it just take me to the registration page

Do you know how to use or find a macs default config file/speed???
