connecting 2 hdmi devices to my surrond sound

I am trying to connect a PS-3/SAT Box to my JVC Surround sound System Model #TH-D50

Please help i have a sony 60" KDS-60A2000

Right now i have ps3 connected via hdmi on the tv, and the sat box connected with hdmi on the sony tv also the jvc reciever also has an hdmi port that is not being used.also i will not be using the dvd player on the reciever i will be using the bd on ps-3 i Have rca from ps3 connected to the reciever, but no sound from the surround system when i am watching sat tv someone please help thanks

The JVC is, like many surround systems, limited in what you can connect. Unlike an AV amp, it is really intended for playing its internal dvd/tuner with the option to connect a digital and analogue audio components.

In your case I suggest you connect the PS3/sat box via the optical audi into the JVC with the video to the TV via HDMI. I dont know the sony but I assume it has several HDMI inputs which can be used for HD video.
