Hi,
I wish to find out the orbital positions of the common inclined orbit satellites between 42E and 45W on a 30 minute or hourly basis per day. I have downloaded and installed the "SatTracker" application that shows the orbital paths and positions throughout the day for the satellites but it is not functioning correctly. For example, Intelsat 603 is correctly shown on LygnSat at 20W but the SatTracker application is incorrectly showing it above Australia at 141E. This type of error is repeated for all of the satellites in SatTracker. I have entered my location correctly via selection of the City (London) and the longitude and latitude are given as those I know to be correct. I have also downloaded the latest "geo.txt" file, renamed it as "tvro.tle" and installed it but the satellites listed in SatTracker are all still in the wrong positions. Are there any other tools I could download that will give me daily tabular positions etc of satellites, or, is there a "fix" for the errors that SatTracker is generating. Rgds Squom |

AnalogueSat,
Thx for the n2yo link, it provides the same info as Lyngsat, ie, it will give the inclination at the current time of day for inclined orbit satellites. What I hoped to achieve was to get a tool such as SatTracker that would yield printable tabular data for the whole day for the elevation of the inclined satellites. SatTracker is supposed to do this and in fact my copy does it, however, the issue with my copy of SatTracker is that it is reporting the satellites with incorrect azimuth. Ideally, I would like to get my SatTracker to function correctly, or use an alternative tool for generation of daily printable tabular data for inclined satellites. rgds Squom |
